What is our Performance Management training?

Our Negotiation Skills course is a practical, skills based workshop for anyone in an external facing role who negotiates deals, terms or agreements, including sales, procurement, partnerships, and client facing roles of every kind.

It combines theory with genuinely role relevant practice: participants don’t just learn a framework, they apply it to negotiations they’re actually working on, from structuring the conversation to reading the other side’s real priorities and following up in a way that makes the agreement stick.

What the course covers

Performance can’t be managed against a vague expectation. This module covers how to set objectives that are genuinely clear and measurable, so both manager and team member know exactly what good looks like, removing the ambiguity that so often turns performance conversations into disagreements about what was actually expected.

The heart of performance management. This module builds the practical skill of giving feedback, positive and constructive, that’s specific, timely and genuinely helps someone improve, rather than feedback that’s vague, delayed, or avoided altogether.

Feedback doesn’t always land the way it’s intended, and performance conversations can trigger defensiveness, upset or pushback. This module gives managers practical technique for handling those reactions calmly and constructively, so the conversation stays productive even when it doesn’t go entirely to plan.

The best performance comes from a genuine balance of support and challenge: too much support without challenge leaves people comfortable but not growing, too much challenge without support creates pressure and burnout. This module helps managers find and hold that balance for each individual, rather than defaulting to one or the other.

Managing performance well means developing people, not just assessing them. This module introduces practical coaching technique, helping team members work out their own way to improve, building ownership and motivation that lasts well beyond the conversation itself.
